We are Leaders for Youth Sports.
Leaders for Youth Sports is a nonprofit organization led by youth, for youth. We are committed to making youth sports more accessible to every child and inspiring young leaders to take charge in their communities.
Through our branch program, we support youth as they lead sports equity projects in their schools and regions. Leaders for Youth Sports serves many kids in different regions through advocacy events, sports clinics, and sports equipment donations.

Our Story
As dancers, tennis players, and soccer players, combatting sports equity is a cause held deeply by Brianna, Aanya, and Janelle.
At fourteen years old, Brianna, Aanya, and Janelle started their community service work in 2022 with a clothing drive to combat the lack of winter clothes in the harsh Michigan winters.
After that project, they decided to focus on a national problem that they deeply resonated with: the inaccessibility of youth sports. Having all experienced unique barriers to sports, from paying for classes and purchasing equipment to bearing the rising cost of travel sports, they organized their first sports advocacy event: the Miles 4 Smiles 5K.
The energy and support from this 5K fueled the subsequent sports equipment drive, international sports day, and establishment as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
Now, Leaders for Youth Sports mobilizes young leaders to enter service work and feel supported the whole way through. With our growing team of young leaders, supporting adults, and donors, we have reached thousands of people, impacted dozens of communities, and inspired youth to take action in the causes they love.
Leaders for Youth Sports is an IRS registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Donations may be tax-deductible.
